Defibrillator training – 24 October 23

Training in the use of the village Defibrillator Tuesday 24th October, Wesleyan Chapel, 7.30pm

We have recently installed a defibrillator for the village. It is adjacent to the trough in the centre of the village. To use it in an emergency ring 999, quote the location shown on the outside of the box and you will be given the access code to open the cabinet.

We hope this will never need to be used but we want to give you all a chance to learn how to use it.

We are delighted to say that Dr Richard Hopkins, an A&E consultant at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and a fellow villager, has kindly agreed to run a session for us (in his personal capacity). He will show us how the kit works and demonstrate its use, using a dummy.

To ensure everyone who attends gets a good chance to understand how to use a defibrillator we will limit numbers attending (but also run a second session back to back if there is demand). If there is very high demand we will fix an additional date and let you know.

So to reserve a place please email our Clerk Pip Gilbert (email above). Parish councillors will also be at the session so do use this opportunity to speak to us on any village matter of concern to you.

With best wishes to all

Professor Councillor Tony Crook

Vice Chair, Curbar Parish Council
